Galatians 4:21
An Appeal from Allegory
4:21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law, do you not understand the law?
Galatians 5:16
5:16 But I say, live
by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh.
Galatians 1:9
1:9 As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be condemned to hell!
Galatians 3:15
Inheritance Comes from Promises and not Law
3:15 Brothers and sisters, I offer an example from everyday life: When a covenant has been ratified, even though it is only a human contract, no one can set it aside or add anything to it.
Galatians 4:1
4:1 Now I mean that the heir, as long as he is a minor, is no different from a slave, though he is the owner of everything.
Galatians 5:2
5:2 Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you at all!
Galatians 3:16-17
3:16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant.
Scripture
does not say, “and to the descendants
,” referring to many, but “
and to your descendant,” referring to one, who is Christ.
3:17 What I am saying is this: The law that came four hundred thirty years later does not cancel a covenant previously ratified by God,
so as to invalidate the promise.
Galatians 4:30
4:30 But what does the scripture say? “
Throw out the slave woman and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the son” of the free woman.
