Galatians 5:24
5:24 Now those who belong to Christ
have crucified the flesh
with its passions
and desires.
Galatians 6:14
6:14 But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which
the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Romans 6:4-6
6:4 Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life.
6:5 For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united in the likeness of his resurrection.
6:6 We know that our old man was crucified with him so that the body of sin would no longer dominate us, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
Romans 8:3-4
8:3 For God achieved what the law could not do because
it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,
8:4 so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Colossians 2:11-14
2:11 In him you also were circumcised – not, however,
with a circumcision performed by human hands, but by the removal
of the fleshly body,
that is,
through the circumcision done by Christ.
2:12 Having been buried with him in baptism, you also have been raised with him through your
faith in the power
of God who raised him from the dead.
2:13 And even though you were dead in your
transgressions and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he nevertheless
made you alive with him, having forgiven all your transgressions.
2:14 He has destroyed
what was against us, a certificate of indebtedness
expressed in decrees opposed to us. He has taken it away by nailing it to the cross.
