Genesis 26:13
26:13 The man became wealthy.
His influence continued to grow
until he became very prominent.
Genesis 26:2
26:2 The
Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt;
settle down in the land that I will point out to you.

19:32 Come, let’s make our father drunk with wine
so we can have sexual relations
with him and preserve
our family line through our father.”
Psalms 17:14
17:14 Lord, use your power to deliver me from these murderers,
from the murderers of this world!
They enjoy prosperity;
you overwhelm them with the riches they desire.
They have many children,
and leave their wealth to their offspring.
Psalms 73:3-7
73:3 For I envied those who are proud,
as I observed the prosperity of the wicked.
73:4 For they suffer no pain;
their bodies are strong and well-fed.
73:5 They are immune to the trouble common to men;
they do not suffer as other men do.
73:6 Arrogance is their necklace,
and violence their clothing.
73:7 Their prosperity causes them to do wrong;
their thoughts are sinful.
Luke 16:19-25
The Rich Man and Lazarus
16:19 “There was a rich man who dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.
16:20 But at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus whose body was covered with sores,
16:21 who longed to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. In addition, the dogs came and licked his sores.
16:22 “Now the poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.
16:23 And in hell, as he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far off with Lazarus at his side.
16:24 So he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in this fire.’
16:25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things and Lazarus likewise bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in anguish.
