Isaiah 1:3

1:3 An ox recognizes its owner,

a donkey recognizes where its owner puts its food;

but Israel does not recognize me,

my people do not understand.”

Isaiah 37:19

37:19 They have burned the gods of the nations, for they are not really gods, but only the product of human hands manufactured from wood and stone. That is why the Assyrians could destroy them.

Isaiah 54:8

but with lasting devotion I will have compassion on you,”

says your protector, the Lord.

60:2 For, look, darkness covers the earth

and deep darkness covers the nations,

but the Lord shines on you;

his splendor appears over you.

and forget about worshiping at my holy mountain,
