Isaiah 32:18-19
32:18 My people will live in peaceful settlements,
in secure homes,
and in safe, quiet places.
32:19 Even if the forest is destroyed
and the city is annihilated,
Isaiah 37:3-4
37:3 “This is what Hezekiah says:
‘This is a day of distress, insults,
and humiliation,
as when a baby is ready to leave the birth canal, but the mother lacks the strength to push it through.
37:4 Perhaps the
Lord your God will hear all these things the chief adviser has spoken on behalf of his master, the king of Assyria, who sent him to taunt the living God.
When the
Lord your God hears, perhaps he will punish him for the things he has said.
So pray for this remnant that remains.’”
Isaiah 37:36
37:36 The Lord’s messenger went out and killed 185,000 troops in the Assyrian camp. When they got up early the next morning, there were all the corpses!
Ezekiel 13:11-13
13:11 Tell the ones who coat it with whitewash that it will fall. When there is a deluge of rain, hailstones
will fall and a violent wind will break out.
13:12 When the wall has collapsed, people will ask you, “Where is the whitewash you coated it with?”
13:13 “‘Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: In my rage I will make a violent wind break out. In my anger there will be a deluge of rain and hailstones in destructive fury.
Matthew 7:25-27
7:25 The rain fell, the flood
came, and the winds beat against that house, but it did not collapse because it had been founded on rock.
7:26 Everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
7:27 The rain fell, the flood came, and the winds beat against that house, and it collapsed; it was utterly destroyed!”
