James 1:17
1:17 All generous giving and every perfect gift
is from above, coming down
from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change.
James 1:21
1:21 So put away all filth and evil excess and humbly
welcome the message implanted within you, which is able to save your souls.
James 1:23
1:23 For if someone merely listens to the message and does not live it out, he is like someone
who gazes at his own face
in a mirror.
James 2:11

Do not commit adultery,”

Do not murder.”
Now if you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a violator of the law.
James 3:2-3
3:2 For we all stumble
in many ways. If someone does not stumble
in what he says,
he is a perfect individual,
able to control the entire body as well.
3:3 And if we put bits into the mouths of horses to get them to obey us, then we guide their entire bodies.
James 3:17
3:17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating,
full of mercy and good fruit,
impartial, and not hypocritical.
James 4:1
Passions and Pride
4:1 Where do the conflicts and where do the quarrels among you come from? Is it not from this, from your passions that battle inside you?
James 4:14
4:14 You
do not know about tomorrow. What is your life like?
For you are a puff of smoke
that appears for a short time and then vanishes.
James 5:14
5:14 Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint
him with oil in the name of the Lord.
James 5:16
5:16 So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness.
James 5:20
5:20 he should know that the one who turns a sinner back from his wandering path
will save that person’s
soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
