1:17 The men of Judah went with their brothers the men of Simeon and defeated the Canaanites living in Zephath. They wiped out Zephath. So people now call the city Hormah.
Judges 1:26

moved to Hittite country and built a city. He named it Luz, and it has kept that name to this very day.
Judges 6:24
6:24 Gideon built an altar for the
Lord there, and named it “The
Lord is on friendly terms with me.”
To this day it is still there in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

6:32 That very day Gideon’s father named him Jerub-Baal,
because he had said, “Let Baal fight with him, for it was his altar that was pulled down.”

But the city’s name used to be Laish.
