Judges 2:20
A Divine Decision
2:20 The Lord was furious with Israel. He said, “This nation has violated the terms of the agreement I made with their ancestors by disobeying me.
Judges 3:28
3:28 He said to them, “Follow me, for the
Lord is about to defeat your enemies, the Moabites!”
They followed him, captured the fords of the Jordan River
opposite Moab,
and did not let anyone cross.
Judges 11:17
11:17 Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, “Please allow us
to pass through your land.” But the king of Edom rejected the request.
Israel sent the same request to the king of Moab, but he was unwilling to cooperate.
So Israel stayed at Kadesh.
Judges 12:3
12:3 When I saw that you were not going to help,
I risked my life
and advanced against
the Ammonites, and the
Lord handed them over to me. Why have you come up
to fight with me today?”
Judges 12:5
12:5 The Gileadites captured the fords of the Jordan River
opposite Ephraim.
Whenever an Ephraimite fugitive
said, “Let me cross over,” the men of Gilead asked
him, “Are you an Ephraimite?” If he said, “No,”
Judges 19:18
19:18 The Levite
said to him, “We are traveling from Bethlehem
in Judah to the remote region of the Ephraimite hill country. That’s where I’m from. I had business in Bethlehem in Judah, but now I’m heading home.
But no one has invited me into their home.
