Jeremiah 27:7
27:7 All nations must serve him and his son and grandson
until the time comes for his own nation to fall.
Then many nations and great kings will in turn subjugate Babylon.
Jeremiah 29:6
29:6 Marry and have sons and daughters. Find wives for your sons and allow your daughters get married so that they too can have sons and daughters. Grow in number; do not dwindle away.
Jeremiah 32:30
32:30 This will happen because the people of Israel and Judah have repeatedly done what displeases me
from their earliest history until now
and because they
have repeatedly made me angry by the things they have done.
I, the
Lord, affirm it!
Jeremiah 35:4
35:4 I took them to the
Lord’s temple. I took them into the room where the disciples of the prophet Hanan son of Igdaliah stayed.
That room was next to the one where the temple officers stayed and above the room where Maaseiah son of Shallum, one of the doorkeepers
of the temple, stayed.
Jeremiah 36:26
36:26 He also ordered Jerahmeel, who was one of the royal princes,
Seraiah son of Azriel, and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to arrest the scribe Baruch and the prophet Jeremiah. However, the
Lord hid them.
Jeremiah 40:11
40:11 Moreover, all the Judeans who were in Moab, Ammon, Edom, and all the other countries heard what had happened. They heard that the king of Babylon had allowed some people to stay in Judah and that he had appointed Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam and grandson of Shaphan, to govern them.
Jeremiah 40:14
40:14 They said to him, “Are you at all aware
that King Baalis of Ammon has sent Ishmael son of Nethaniah to kill you?” But Gedaliah son of Ahikam would not believe them.
Jeremiah 41:1-2
41:1 But in the seventh month Ishmael, the son of Nethaniah and grandson of Elishama who was a member of the royal family and had been one of Zedekiah’s chief officers, came with ten of his men to Gedaliah son of Ahikam at Mizpah. While they were eating a meal together with him there at Mizpah,
41:2 Ishmael son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him stood up, pulled out their swords, and killed Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam and grandson of Shaphan. Thus Ishmael killed the man that the king of Babylon had appointed to govern the country.
Jeremiah 43:6
43:6 They also led off all the men, women, children, and royal princesses
that Nebuzaradan, the captain of the royal guard, had left with Gedaliah,
the son of Ahikam and grandson of Shaphan. This included the prophet Jeremiah and Baruch son of Neriah.
