Jeremiah 4:20
4:20 I see one destruction after another taking place,
so that the whole land lies in ruins.
I see our tents suddenly destroyed,
their curtains torn down in a mere instant.
Jeremiah 7:10-11
7:10 Then you come and stand in my presence in this temple I have claimed as my own
and say, “We are safe!” You think you are so safe that you go on doing all those hateful sins!
7:11 Do you think this temple I have claimed as my own
is to be a hideout for robbers?
You had better take note!
I have seen for myself what you have done! says the
Lord.
Jeremiah 7:14
7:14 So I will destroy this temple which I have claimed as my own,
this temple that you are trusting to protect you. I will destroy this place that I gave to you and your ancestors,
just like I destroyed Shiloh.
Jeremiah 7:30
7:30 The Lord says, “I have rejected them because the people of Judah have done what I consider evil. They have set up their disgusting idols in the temple which I have claimed for my own and have defiled it.
Jeremiah 14:9
14:9 Why should you be like someone who is helpless,
like a champion who cannot save anyone?
You are indeed with us,
and we belong to you.
Do not abandon us!”
Jeremiah 15:16
15:16 As your words came to me I drank them in,
and they filled my heart with joy and happiness
because I belong to you.
