Job 1:9-12
1:9 Then Satan answered the Lord, “Is it for nothing that Job fears God?
1:10 Have you not made a hedge around him and his household and all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his livestock have increased in the land.
1:11 But extend your hand and strike everything he has, and he will no doubt curse you to your face!”
1:12 So the Lord said to Satan, “All right then, everything he has is in your power. Only do not extend your hand against the man himself!” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
Job 2:4-7
2:4 But Satan answered the Lord, “Skin for skin! Indeed, a man will give up all that he has to save his life!
2:5 But extend your hand and strike his bone and his flesh, and he will no doubt curse you to your face!”
2:6 So the Lord said to Satan, “All right, he is in your power; only preserve his life.”
Job’s Integrity in Suffering
2:7 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and he afflicted Job with a malignant ulcer from the sole of his feet to the top of his head.

that huge dragon – the ancient serpent, the one called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world – was thrown down to the earth, and his angels along with him.
12:10 Then
I heard a loud voice in heaven saying,
“The salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the ruling authority of his Christ, have now come,
because the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
the one who accuses them day and night before our God,
has been thrown down.
12:11 But they overcame him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony,
and they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.
