Job 19:14-17
19:14 My kinsmen have failed me;
my friends have forgotten me.
19:15 My guests and my servant girls
consider me a stranger;
I am a foreigner in their eyes.
19:16 I summon my servant, but he does not respond,
even though I implore him with my own mouth.
19:17 My breath is repulsive to my wife;
I am loathsome to my brothers.
Psalms 38:5
38:5 My wounds are infected and starting to smell,
because of my foolish sins.
Psalms 38:7
38:7 For I am overcome with shame
and my whole body is sick.
Luke 16:20-21
16:20 But at his gate lay
a poor man named Lazarus
whose body was covered with sores,
16:21 who longed to eat
what fell from the rich man’s table. In addition, the dogs
came and licked
his sores.
