Job 38:12-13
38:12 Have you ever in your life commanded the morning,
or made the dawn know its place,
38:13 that it might seize the corners of the earth,
and shake the wicked out of it?
Genesis 1:3-4
1:3 God said,
“Let there be
light.”
And there was light!
1:4 God saw
that the light was good,
so God separated
the light from the darkness.
Genesis 1:14-18
1:14 God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them be signs to indicate seasons and days and years,
1:15 and let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” It was so.
1:16 God made two great lights – the greater light to rule over the day and the lesser light to rule over the night. He made the stars also.
1:17 God placed the lights in the expanse of the sky to shine on the earth,
1:18 to preside over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. God saw that it was good.
Deuteronomy 4:19
4:19 When you look up

and see the sun, moon, and stars – the whole heavenly creation
– you must not be seduced to worship and serve them,
for the
Lord your God has assigned
them to all the people
of the world.
Isaiah 45:7
45:7 I am the one who forms light
and creates darkness;
the one who brings about peace
and creates calamity.
I am the Lord, who accomplishes all these things.
John 1:9
1:9 The true light, who gives light to everyone,
was coming into the world.
John 8:12
