The Testimony of John the Baptist
1:19 Now this was John’s testimony when the Jewish leaders sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”

9:22 (His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Jewish religious leaders.
For the Jewish leaders had already agreed that anyone who confessed Jesus
to be the Christ
would be put out
of the synagogue.
John 11:9
11:9 Jesus replied,
“Are there not twelve hours in a day? If anyone walks around in the daytime, he does not stumble,
because he sees the light of this world.
John 12:47
12:47 If anyone
hears my words and does not obey them,
I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
John 14:23
14:23 Jesus replied,
“If anyone loves me, he will obey
my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and take up residence with him.

Peter and the Disciple Jesus Loved
21:20 Peter turned around and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them. (This was the disciple who had leaned back against Jesus’ chest at the meal and asked, “Lord, who is the one who is going to betray you?”)
