Leviticus 19:23-25
The Produce of Fruit Trees
19:23 “‘When you enter the land and plant any fruit tree, you must consider its fruit to be forbidden. Three years it will be forbidden to you; it must not be eaten.
19:24 In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy, praise offerings to the Lord.
19:25 Then in the fifth year you may eat its fruit to add its produce to your harvest. I am the Lord your God.
Leviticus 25:2-3
25:2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘When you enter the land that I am giving you, the land must observe a Sabbath
to the
Lord.
25:3 Six years you may sow your field, and six years you may prune your vineyard and gather the produce,
Genesis 4:4-5
4:4 But Abel brought
some of the firstborn of his flock – even the fattest
of them. And the
Lord was pleased with
Abel and his offering,
4:5 but with Cain and his offering he was not pleased.
So Cain became very angry,
and his expression was downcast.
Joshua 5:11-12
5:11 They ate some of the produce of the land the day after the Passover, including unleavened bread and roasted grain.
5:12 The manna stopped appearing the day they ate
some of the produce of the land; the Israelites never ate manna again.
