Luke 11:53-54
11:53 When he went out from there, the experts in the law and the Pharisees began to oppose him bitterly, and to ask him hostile questions about many things,
11:54 plotting against him, to catch him in something he might say.
Luke 13:31-33
Going to Jerusalem
13:31 At that time, some Pharisees came up and said to Jesus, “Get away from here, because Herod wants to kill you.”
13:32 But he said to them, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Look, I am casting out demons and performing healings today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will complete my work.
13:33 Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, because it is impossible that a prophet should be killed outside Jerusalem.’
Luke 19:39-40
19:39 But
some of the Pharisees
in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.”
19:40 He answered,
“I tell you, if they
keep silent, the very stones
will cry out!”
John 9:4
9:4 We must perform the deeds
of the one who sent me
as long as
it is daytime. Night is coming when no one can work.
John 11:8-10
11:8 The disciples replied,
“Rabbi, the Jewish leaders
were just now trying
to stone you to death! Are
you going there again?”
11:9 Jesus replied,
“Are there not twelve hours in a day? If anyone walks around in the daytime, he does not stumble,
because he sees the light of this world.
11:10 But if anyone walks around at night,
he stumbles,
because the light is not in him.”
John 12:17-19
12:17 So the crowd who had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead were continuing to testify about it.
12:18 Because they had heard that Jesus had performed this miraculous sign, the crowd went out to meet him.
12:19 Thus the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you can do nothing. Look, the world has run off after him!”
