Luke 2:4
2:4 So
Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth
in Galilee to Judea, to the city
of David called Bethlehem,
because he was of the house
and family line
of David.
Luke 4:38
4:38 After Jesus left the synagogue, he entered Simon’s house. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her.

he said to them, “Watch out and guard yourself from
all types of greed,
because one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
Luke 13:15-16
13:15 Then the Lord answered him,
“You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from its stall,
and lead it to water?
13:16 Then
shouldn’t
this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan
bound for eighteen long
years, be released from this imprisonment
on the Sabbath day?”
Luke 14:18
14:18 But one after another they all
began to make excuses.
The first said to him, ‘I have bought a field,
and I must go out and see it. Please excuse me.’
Luke 20:46
20:46 “Beware
of the experts in the law.
They
like walking around in long robes, and they love elaborate greetings
in the marketplaces and the best seats
in the synagogues
and the places of honor at banquets.
