Luke 6:32-36
6:32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
6:33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.
6:34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to be repaid, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, so that they may be repaid in full.
6:35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to ungrateful and evil people.
6:36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
John 13:15-17
13:15 For I have given you an example
– you should do just as I have done for you.
13:16 I tell you the solemn truth,
the slave
is not greater than his master, nor is the one who is sent as a messenger
greater than the one who sent him.
13:17 If you understand
these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

Washing the Disciples’ Feet
13:1 Just before the Passover feast, Jesus knew that his time had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now loved them to the very end.

2:1 Now on the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,
John 3:16-18
3:16 For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
3:18 The one who believes in him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.
