Luke 9:3-6
9:3 He
said to them, “Take nothing for your
journey – no staff,
no bag,
no bread, no money, and do not take an extra tunic.
9:4 Whatever
house you enter, stay there
until you leave the area.
9:5 Wherever
they do not receive you,
as you leave that town,
shake the dust off
your feet as a testimony against them.”
9:6 Then
they departed and went throughout
the villages, proclaiming the good news
and healing people everywhere.
Luke 22:35
22:35 Then Jesus said to them, “When I sent you out with no money bag, or traveler’s bag, or sandals, you didn’t lack anything, did you?” They replied, “Nothing.”
Matthew 10:9-10
10:9 Do not take gold, silver, or copper in your belts,
10:10 no bag
for the journey, or an extra tunic,
or sandals or staff,
for the worker deserves his provisions.
Mark 6:8-9
6:8 He instructed them to take nothing for the journey except a staff
– no bread, no bag,
no money in their belts –
6:9 and to put on sandals but not to wear two tunics.
