Mark 1:19-20

1:19 Going on a little farther, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John his brother in their boat mending nets. 1:20 Immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.

Mark 1:22

1:22 The people there were amazed by his teaching, because he taught them like one who had authority, not like the experts in the law.

5:14 Now the herdsmen ran off and spread the news in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened.

Sending Out the Twelve Apostles

6:7 Jesus called the twelve and began to send them out two by two. He gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

8:3 If I send them home hungry, they will faint on the way, and some of them have come from a great distance.”

14:40 When he came again he found them sleeping; they could not keep their eyes open. And they did not know what to tell him.

16:18 they will pick up snakes with their hands, and whatever poison they drink will not harm them; they will place their hands on the sick and they will be well.”
