2:18 Now John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting. So they came to Jesus and said, “Why do the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t fast?”

and he took the child’s father and mother and his own companions
and went into the room where the child was.

saw them straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. As the night was ending,

he wanted to pass by them.

13:8 For nation will rise up in arms
against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines.
These are but the beginning of birth pains.

to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to stay alert.

14:41 He came a third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting?
Enough of that!
The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

15:43 Joseph of Arimathea, a highly regarded member of the council,
