Matthew 13:22
13:22 The
seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth
choke the word,
so it produces nothing.
Matthew 24:38-39
24:38 For in those days before the flood, people
were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark.
24:39 And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away.
It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man.
Luke 14:18-20
14:18 But one after another they all
began to make excuses.
The first said to him, ‘I have bought a field,
and I must go out and see it. Please excuse me.’
14:19 Another
said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen,
and I am going out
to examine them. Please excuse me.’
14:20 Another
said, ‘I just got married, and I cannot come.’
Luke 17:26-32
17:26 Just
as it was
in the days of Noah,
so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man.
17:27 People
were eating,
they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage – right up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then
the flood came and destroyed them all.
17:28 Likewise, just as it was
in the days of Lot, people
were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building;
17:29 but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
17:30 It will be the same on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
17:31 On that day, anyone who is on the roof,
with his goods in the house, must not come down
to take them away, and likewise the person in the field must not turn back.
17:32 Remember Lot’s wife!
Romans 8:6
8:6 For the outlook
of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,
Romans 8:1
The Believer’s Relationship to the Holy Spirit
8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 6:9-10
6:9 We know
that since Christ has been raised from the dead, he is never going to die
again; death no longer has mastery over him.
6:10 For the death he died, he died to sin once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God.
Romans 6:2
6:2 Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
Romans 3:4
3:4 Absolutely not! Let God be proven true, and every human being
shown up as a liar,
just as it is written: “
so that you will be justified in your words and will prevail when you are judged.”
Romans 3:1
3:1 Therefore what advantage does the Jew have, or what is the value of circumcision?
Romans 2:15-16
2:15 They
show that the work of the law is written
in their hearts, as their conscience bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or else defend
them,
2:16 on the day when God will judge
the secrets of human hearts,
according to my gospel
through Christ Jesus.
