Matthew 25:11-12
25:11 Later,
the other virgins came too, saying, ‘Lord, lord! Let us in!’
25:12 But he replied,
‘I tell you the truth,
I do not know you!’
Hosea 8:2-3
8:2 Israel cries out to me,
“My God, we acknowledge you!”
8:3 But Israel has rejected what is morally good;
so an enemy will pursue him.
Luke 6:46
6:46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do what I tell you?
Luke 13:25
13:25 Once
the head of the house
gets up
and shuts the door, then you will stand outside and start to knock on the door and beg him, ‘Lord,
let us in!’
But he will answer you,
‘I don’t know where you come from.’
Acts 19:13-20
19:13 But some itinerant
Jewish exorcists tried to invoke the name
of the Lord Jesus over those who were possessed by
evil spirits, saying, “I sternly warn
you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.”
19:14 (Now seven sons of a man named
Sceva, a Jewish high priest, were doing this.)
19:15 But the evil spirit replied to them,
“I know about Jesus
and I am acquainted with
Paul, but who are you?”
19:16 Then the man who was possessed by
the evil spirit jumped on
them and beat them all into submission.
He prevailed
against them so that they fled from that house naked and wounded.
19:17 This became known to all who lived in Ephesus,
both Jews and Greeks; fear came over
them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was praised.
19:18 Many of those who had believed came forward,
confessing and making their deeds known.
19:19 Large numbers
of those who had practiced magic
collected their books
and burned them up in the presence of everyone.
When
the value of the books was added up, it was found to total fifty thousand silver coins.
19:20 In this way the word of the Lord
continued to grow in power
and to prevail.
Romans 2:13

Titus 1:16
1:16 They profess to know God but with their deeds they deny him, since they are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.
James 1:22
1:22 But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves.
James 2:20-26
2:20 But would you like evidence, you empty fellow, that faith without works is useless?
2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
2:22 You see that his faith was working together with his works and his faith was perfected by works.
2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Now Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.
2:24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
2:25 And similarly, was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out by another way?
2:26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
