Micah 2:1
Land Robbers Will Lose their Land
2:1 Those who devise sinful plans are as good as dead,
those who dream about doing evil as they lie in bed.
As soon as morning dawns they carry out their plans,
because they have the power to do so.
Mark 2:6-7
2:6 Now some of the experts in the law
were sitting there, turning these things over in their minds:
2:7 “Why does this man speak this way? He is blaspheming!
Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
Mark 3:2-6
3:2 They watched
Jesus
closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath,
so that they could accuse him.
3:3 So he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Stand up among all these people.”
3:4 Then
he said to them, “Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or evil, to save a life or destroy it?” But they were silent.
3:5 After looking around
at them in anger, grieved by the hardness of their hearts,
he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.
3:6 So
the Pharisees
went out immediately and began plotting with the Herodians,
as to how they could assassinate
him.
Luke 6:7
6:7 The experts in the law
and the Pharisees
watched
Jesus
closely to see if
he would heal on the Sabbath,
so that they could find a reason to accuse him.
Luke 13:14-17
13:14 But the president of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, “There are six days on which work
should be done!
So come
and be healed on those days, and not on the Sabbath day.”
13:15 Then the Lord answered him,
“You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from its stall,
and lead it to water?
13:16 Then
shouldn’t
this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan
bound for eighteen long
years, be released from this imprisonment
on the Sabbath day?”
13:17 When
he said this all his adversaries were humiliated,
but
the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things
he was doing.
Luke 20:20-23
Paying Taxes to Caesar
20:20 Then they watched him carefully and sent spies who pretended to be sincere. They wanted to take advantage of what he might say so that they could deliver him up to the authority and jurisdiction of the governor.
20:21 Thus they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach correctly, and show no partiality, but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.
20:22 Is it right for us to pay the tribute tax to Caesar or not?”
20:23 But Jesus perceived their deceit and said to them,
Revelation 12:10
12:10 Then
I heard a loud voice in heaven saying,
“The salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the ruling authority of his Christ, have now come,
because the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
the one who accuses them day and night before our God,
has been thrown down.
