Matthew 11:3-5
11:3 “Are you the one who is to come,
or should we look for another?”
11:4 Jesus answered them,
“Go tell John what you hear and see:
11:5 The blind see, the
lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news proclaimed to them.
Matthew 26:63-68
26:63 But Jesus was silent. The
high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ,
the Son of God.”
26:64 Jesus said to him, “You have said it yourself. But I tell you, from now on you will see the Son of Man
sitting at the right hand of the Power
and
coming on the clouds of heaven.”
26:65 Then the high priest tore his clothes and declared,
“He has blasphemed! Why do we still need witnesses? Now
you have heard the blasphemy!
26:66 What is your verdict?”
They
answered, “He is guilty and deserves
death.”
26:67 Then they spat in his face and struck him with their fists. And some slapped him,
26:68 saying, “Prophesy for us, you Christ!
Who hit you?”
Mark 14:61-66
14:61 But he was silent and did not answer. Again the high priest questioned him,
“Are you the Christ,
the Son of the Blessed One?”
14:62 “I am,” said Jesus, “and you will see
the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power
and
coming with the clouds of heaven.”
14:63 Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “Why do we still need witnesses?
14:64 You have heard the blasphemy! What is your verdict?”
They all condemned him as deserving death.
14:65 Then
some began to spit on him, and to blindfold him, and to strike him with their fists, saying, “Prophesy!” The guards also took him and beat
him.
Peter’s Denials
14:66 Now while Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the high priest’s slave girls came by.
John 10:24
10:24 The Jewish leaders
surrounded him and asked,
“How long will you keep us in suspense?
If you are the Christ,
tell us plainly.”
