Numbers 10:5-7
10:5 When you blow an alarm,
then the camps that are located
on the east side must begin to travel.
10:6 And when you blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that are located on the south side must begin to travel.
An alarm must be sounded
for their journeys.
10:7 But when you assemble the community,
you must blow, but you must not sound an alarm.
Numbers 10:9
10:9 If you go to war in your land against an adversary who opposes
you, then you must sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the
Lord your God, and you will be saved
from your enemies.
Ezekiel 33:3
33:3 He sees the sword coming against the land, blows the trumpet,
and warns the people,
Ezekiel 33:6
33:6 But suppose the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people. Then the sword comes and takes one of their lives. He is swept away for his iniquity,
but I will hold the watchman accountable for that person’s death.’
Amos 3:6
3:6 If an alarm sounds in a city, do people not fear?
If disaster overtakes a city, is the Lord not responsible?
Zephaniah 1:16
1:16 a day of trumpet blasts and battle cries.
Judgment will fall on the fortified cities and the high corner towers.
