Numbers 8:22-26
8:22 After this, the Levites went in to do their work in the tent of meeting before Aaron and before his sons. As the
Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did.
The Work of the Levites
8:23 Then the Lord spoke to Moses:
8:24 “This is what pertains to the Levites: At the age of twenty-five years and upward one may begin to join the company in the work of the tent of meeting,
8:25 and at the age of fifty years they must retire from performing the work and may no longer work.
8:26 They may assist their colleagues in the tent of meeting, to attend to needs, but they must do no work. This is the way you must establish the Levites regarding their duties.”
Numbers 18:6
18:6 I myself have chosen
your brothers the Levites from among the Israelites. They are given to you as a gift from the
Lord, to perform the duties
of the tent of meeting.
Numbers 18:1
Responsibilities of the Priests
18:1 The Lord said to Aaron, “You and your sons and your tribe with you must bear the iniquity of the sanctuary, and you and your sons with you must bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
Numbers 23:3-6
23:3 Balaam said to Balak, “Station yourself
by your burnt offering, and I will go off; perhaps the
Lord will come to meet me, and whatever he reveals to me
I will tell you.”
Then he went to a deserted height.
23:4 Then God met Balaam, who said to him, “I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered on each altar a bull and a ram.”
23:5 Then the Lord put a message in Balaam’s mouth and said, “Return to Balak, and speak what I tell you.”
23:6 So he returned to him, and he was still standing by his burnt offering, he and all the princes of Moab.
Numbers 23:26
23:26 But Balaam replied
to Balak, “Did I not tell you, ‘All that the
Lord speaks,
I must do’?”
Titus 1:5
Titus’ Task on Crete
1:5 The reason I left you in Crete was to set in order the remaining matters and to appoint elders in every town, as I directed you.
