Numbers 4:15-16
4:15 “When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is ready to journey, then the Kohathites will come to carry them; but they must not touch any holy thing, or they will die. These are the responsibilities of the Kohathites with the tent of meeting.
4:16 “The appointed responsibility of Eleazar son of Aaron the priest is for the oil for the light, and the spiced incense, and the daily grain offering, and the anointing oil; he also has the appointed responsibility over all the tabernacle with all that is in it, over the sanctuary and over all its furnishings.”
Numbers 8:19
8:19 I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and his sons from among the Israelites, to do the work for the Israelites in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the Israelites, so there will be no plague among the Israelites when the Israelites come near the sanctuary.”
Numbers 16:3
16:3 And they assembled against Moses and Aaron, saying to them, “You take too much upon yourselves,
seeing that the whole community is holy, every one of them, and the
Lord is among them. Why then do you exalt yourselves above the community of the
Lord?”
Numbers 16:46
16:46 Then Moses said to Aaron, “Take the censer, put burning coals from the altar in it, place incense on it, and go quickly into the assembly and make atonement for them, for wrath has gone out from the
Lord – the plague has begun!”

Responsibilities of the Priests
18:1 The Lord said to Aaron, “You and your sons and your tribe with you must bear the iniquity of the sanctuary, and you and your sons with you must bear the iniquity of your priesthood.
Numbers 18:8
The Portion of the Priests
18:8 The Lord spoke to Aaron, “See, I have given you the responsibility for my raised offerings; I have given all the holy things of the Israelites to you as your priestly portion and to your sons as a perpetual ordinance.
Numbers 20:8
20:8 “Take the staff and assemble the community, you and Aaron your brother, and then speak
to the rock before their eyes. It will pour forth
its water, and you will bring water out of the rock for them, and so you will give the community and their beasts water to drink.”
