Philippians 2:12
Lights in the World
2:12 So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence,
Romans 15:23-29
15:23 But now there is nothing more to keep me
in these regions, and I have for many years desired
to come to you
15:24 when I go to Spain. For I hope to visit you when I pass through and that you will help me
on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while.
15:25 But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.
15:26 For Macedonia and Achaia are pleased to make some contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.
15:27 For they were pleased to do this, and indeed they are indebted to the Jerusalem saints. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.
15:28 Therefore after I have completed this and have safely delivered this bounty to them, I will set out for Spain by way of you,
15:29 and I know that when I come to you I will come in the fullness of Christ’s blessing.
Romans 15:1
Exhortation for the Strong to Help the Weak
15:1 But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves.
Colossians 1:24-27
1:24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and I fill up in my physical body – for the sake of his body, the church – what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ.
1:25 I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship from God – given to me for you – in order to complete the word of God,
1:26 that is, the mystery that has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but has now been revealed to his saints.
1:27 God wanted to make known to them the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Hebrews 12:1-2
The Lord’s Discipline
12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us,
12:2 keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
