Proverbs 15:19
15:19 The way of the sluggard is like a hedge of thorns,
but the path of the upright is like a highway.
Proverbs 26:13-16
26:13 The sluggard says, “There is a lion in the road!
A lion in the streets!”
26:14 Like a door that turns on its hinges,
so a sluggard turns on his bed.
26:15 The sluggard plunges his hand in the dish;
he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth.
26:16 The sluggard is wiser in his own estimation
than seven people who respond with good sense.
Numbers 13:32-33
13:32 Then they presented the Israelites with a discouraging
report of the land they had investigated, saying, “The land that we passed through
to investigate is a land that devours
its inhabitants.
All the people we saw there
are of great stature.
13:33 We even saw the Nephilim
there (the descendants of Anak came from the Nephilim), and we seemed liked grasshoppers both to ourselves
and to them.”
