23:5 When you gaze upon riches,
for they surely make wings for themselves,
and fly off into the sky like an eagle!
1:8 All this
The eye is never satisfied with seeing, nor is the ear ever content
2:10 I did not restrain myself from getting whatever I wanted;
I did not deny myself anything that would bring me pleasure.
So all my accomplishments gave me joy;
this was my reward for all my effort.
2:11 Yet when I reflected on everything I had accomplished
and on all the effort that I had expended to accomplish it,
I concluded:
like chasing the wind!
There is nothing gained
5:10 The one who loves money
he who loves wealth
This also is futile.
5:11 When someone’s
so what does its owner
6:7 All of man’s labor is for nothing more than
yet his appetite
22:17 But you are always thinking and looking
for ways to increase your wealth by dishonest means.
Your eyes and your heart are set
on killing some innocent person
and committing fraud and oppression.
22:1 The Lord told me,
2:16 Even the soldiers
have cracked your skulls, people of Israel.
