23:9 Do not speak in the ears of a fool,
for he will despise the wisdom of your words.
Proverbs 29:1
29:1 The one who stiffens his neck after numerous rebukes
will suddenly be destroyed without remedy.
Numbers 14:6-10
14:6 And Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, two of those who had investigated the land, tore their garments.
14:7 They said to the whole community of the Israelites, “The land we passed through to investigate is an exceedingly
good land.
14:8 If the
Lord delights in us, then he will bring us into this land and give it to us – a land that is flowing with milk and honey.
14:9 Only do not rebel against the
Lord, and do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us.
Their protection
has turned aside from them, but the
Lord is with us. Do not fear them!”
14:10 However, the whole community threatened to stone them. But the glory of the Lord appeared to all the Israelites at the tent of meeting.

6:4 For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
6:5 tasted the good word of God and the miracles of the coming age,
6:6 and then have committed apostasy,
to renew them again to repentance, since
they are crucifying the Son of God for themselves all over again
and holding him up to contempt.
6:7 For the ground that has soaked up the rain that frequently falls on
it and yields useful vegetation for those who tend it receives a blessing from God.
6:8 But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is useless and about to be cursed;
its fate is to be burned.
