42:2 I thirst
for the living God.
I say,
A psalm of David, written when he was in the Judean wilderness.
63:1 O God, you are my God! I long for you!
My soul thirsts
my flesh yearns for you,
in a dry and parched
143:6 I spread my hands out to you in prayer;
my soul thirsts for you in a parched
41:17 The oppressed and the poor look for water, but there is none;
their tongues are parched from thirst.
I, the Lord, will respond to their prayers;
I, the God of Israel, will not abandon them.
49:10 They will not be hungry or thirsty;
the sun’s oppressive heat will not beat down on them,
for one who has compassion on them will guide them;
he will lead them to springs of water.
65:13 So this is what the sovereign Lord says:
“Look, my servants will eat, but you will be hungry!
Look, my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty!
Look, my servants will rejoice, but you will be humiliated!
5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger
1:53 he has filled the hungry with good things,
6:21 “Blessed are you who hunger
“Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
