A prayer
16:1 Protect me, O God, for I have taken shelter in you.
16:2 I say to the Lord, “You are the Lord,
my only source of well-being.”
18:2 The Lord is my high ridge,
My God is my rocky summit where
my shield, the horn that saves me,
For the music director; according to the tune “Morning Doe;”
22:1 My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?
I groan in prayer, but help seems far away.
22:2 My God, I cry out during the day,
but you do not answer,
and during the night my prayers do not let up.
43:5 Why are you depressed,
Why are you upset?
Wait for God!
For I will again give thanks
to my God for his saving intervention.
