65:7 You calm the raging seas

and their roaring waves,

as well as the commotion made by the nations.

Psalms 89:6

89:6 For who in the skies can compare to the Lord?

Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings,

Psalms 89:9

89:9 You rule over the proud sea.

When its waves surge, you calm them.

Psalms 114:3-5

114:3 The sea looked and fled;

the Jordan River turned back.

114:4 The mountains skipped like rams,

the hills like lambs.

114:5 Why do you flee, O sea?

Job 38:11

38:11 when I said, ‘To here you may come

Jeremiah 5:22

5:22 “You should fear me!” says the Lord.

“You should tremble in awe before me!

I made the sand to be a boundary for the sea,

a permanent barrier that it can never cross.

Its waves may roll, but they can never prevail.

They may roar, but they can never cross beyond that boundary.”

Mark 4:37-39

4:37 Now a great windstorm developed and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was nearly swamped. 4:38 But he was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion.
