Revelation 18:10
18:10 They will stand a long way off because they are afraid of her torment, and will say,
“Woe, woe, O great city,
Babylon the powerful city!
For in a single hour your doom has come!”
Revelation 18:21
18:21 Then one powerful angel picked up a stone like a huge millstone, threw it into the sea, and said,
“With this kind of sudden violent force
Babylon the great city will be thrown down
and it will never be found again!
Revelation 14:8
14:8 A second angel followed the first, declaring: “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great city! She made all the nations drink of the wine of her immoral passion.”
Revelation 16:19
16:19 The
great city was split into three parts and the cities of the nations
collapsed.
So
Babylon the great was remembered before God, and was given the cup
filled with the wine made of God’s furious wrath.
Revelation 17:5
17:5 On
her forehead was written a name, a mystery:
“Babylon the Great, the Mother of prostitutes and of the detestable things of the earth.”
Revelation 17:18
17:18 As for
the woman you saw, she is the great city that has sovereignty over the kings of the earth.”
Isaiah 13:19
13:19 Babylon, the most admired of kingdoms,
the Chaldeans’ source of honor and pride,
will be destroyed by God
just as Sodom and Gomorrah were.
Isaiah 21:9
21:9 Look what’s coming!
A charioteer,
a team of horses.”
When questioned, he replies,
“Babylon has fallen, fallen!
All the idols of her gods lie shattered on the ground!”
Jeremiah 51:8
51:8 But suddenly Babylonia will fall and be destroyed.
Cry out in mourning over it!
Get medicine for her wounds!
Perhaps she can be healed!

on one scroll all the judgments
that would come upon Babylon – all these prophecies
written about Babylon.
51:61 Then Jeremiah said to Seraiah, “When you arrive in Babylon, make sure
you read aloud all these prophecies.
51:62 Then say, ‘O
Lord, you have announced that you will destroy this place so that no people or animals live in it any longer. Certainly it will lie desolate forever!’
51:63 When you finish reading this scroll aloud, tie a stone to it and throw it into the middle of the Euphrates River.
51:64 Then say, ‘In the same way Babylon will sink and never rise again because of the judgments
I am ready to bring upon her; they will grow faint.’”
