Romans 4:24-25
4:24 but also for our sake, to whom it will be credited, those who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.
4:25 He
was given over
because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of
our justification.
Romans 3:22
3:22 namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ
for all who believe. For there is no distinction,
Romans 5:1-2
The Expectation of Justification
5:1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
5:2 through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory.
Romans 10:3
10:3 For ignoring the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking instead to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.
Romans 10:9-10
10:9 because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10:10 For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness
and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation.
Acts 13:38-39
13:38 Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this one
forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,
13:39 and by this one
everyone who believes is justified
from everything from which the law of Moses could not justify
you.
Galatians 2:16-17
2:16 yet we know
that no one
is justified by the works of the law
but by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ.
And
we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by the faithfulness of Christ
and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one
will be justified.
2:17 But if while seeking to be justified in Christ we ourselves have also been found to be sinners, is Christ then one who encourages
sin? Absolutely not!
Galatians 3:9-14
3:9 So then those who believe
are blessed along with Abraham the believer.
3:10 For all who
rely on doing the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, “
Cursed is everyone who does not keep on doing everything written in the book of the law.”
3:11 Now it is clear no one is justified before God by the law, because
the righteous one will live by faith.
3:12 But the law is not based on faith,
but
the one who does the works of the law
will live by them.
3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming
a curse for us (because it is written, “
Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)
3:14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles,
so that we could receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.
Philippians 3:9
3:9 and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness
– a righteousness from God that is in fact
based on Christ’s
faithfulness.
