Zechariah 4:14
4:14 So he said, “These are the two anointed ones
who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”
Psalms 85:9-11
85:9 Certainly his loyal followers will soon experience his deliverance;
then his splendor will again appear in our land.
85:10 Loyal love and faithfulness meet;
deliverance and peace greet each other with a kiss.
85:11 Faithfulness grows from the ground,
and deliverance looks down from the sky.
Isaiah 54:10
54:10 Even if the mountains are removed
and the hills displaced,
my devotion will not be removed from you,
nor will my covenant of friendship be displaced,”
says the Lord, the one who has compassion on you.
Daniel 9:25-27
9:25 So know and understand:
From the issuing of the command to restore and rebuild
Jerusalem until an anointed one, a prince arrives,
there will be a period of seven weeks and sixty-two weeks.
It will again be built, with plaza and moat,
but in distressful times.
9:26 Now after the sixty-two weeks,
an anointed one will be cut off and have nothing.
As for the city and the sanctuary,
the people of the coming prince will destroy them.
But his end will come speedily like a flood.
Until the end of the war that has been decreed
there will be destruction.
9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one week.
But in the middle of that week
he will bring sacrifices and offerings to a halt.
On the wing of abominations will come one who destroys,
until the decreed end is poured out on the one who destroys.”
Micah 5:4
5:4 He will assume his post and shepherd the people by the Lord’s strength,
by the sovereign authority of the Lord his God.
They will live securely, for at that time he will be honored
even in the distant regions of the earth.
Acts 10:36-43
10:36 You know
the message
he sent to the people
of Israel, proclaiming the good news of peace
through
Jesus Christ
(he is Lord
of all) –
10:37 you know what happened throughout Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John announced:
10:38 with respect to Jesus from Nazareth,
that
God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power. He
went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil,
because God was with him.
10:39 We
are witnesses of all the things he did both in Judea
and in Jerusalem.
They
killed him by hanging him on a tree,
10:40 but
God raised him up on the third day and caused him to be seen,
10:41 not by all the people, but by us, the witnesses God had already chosen,
who ate and drank
with him after he rose from the dead.
10:42 He
commanded us to preach to the people and to warn
them
that he is the one
appointed
by God as judge
of the living and the dead.
10:43 About him all the prophets testify,
that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins
through his name.”
Romans 5:1
The Expectation of Justification
5:1 Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Ephesians 2:13-18
2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
2:14 For he is our peace, the one who made both groups into one
and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility,
2:15 when he nullified
in his flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in himself one new man
out of two,
thus making peace,
2:16 and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed.
2:17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,
2:18 so that
through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
Colossians 1:2
1:2 to the saints, the faithful
brothers and sisters
in Christ, at Colossae. Grace and peace to you
from God our Father!
Colossians 1:18-20
1:18 He is the head of the body, the church, as well as the beginning, the firstborn from among the dead, so that he himself may become first in all things.
1:19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in the Son
1:20 and through him to reconcile all things to himself by making peace through the blood of his cross – through him, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
Hebrews 7:1-3
The Nature of Melchizedek’s Priesthood
7:1 Now this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, met Abraham as he was returning from defeating the kings and blessed him.
7:2 To him also Abraham apportioned a tithe of everything. His name first means king of righteousness, then king of Salem, that is, king of peace.
7:3 Without father, without mother, without genealogy, he has neither beginning of days nor end of life but is like the son of God, and he remains a priest for all time.
