  The Lamb’s high banquet called to share, Arrayed in garments white and fair, The Red Sea past, we fain would sing To Jesus our triumphant King. Upon the altar of the cross His body hath redeemed our loss; And, tasting of His precious blood, Our life is hid with Him in God. Protected in the Paschal night From the destroying angel’s might, In triumph went the ransomed free From Pharaoh’s cruel tyranny. Now Christ our Passover is slain, The Lamb of God without a stain; His flesh, the true unleavened Bread, Is freely offered in our stead. O all sufficient Sacrifice, Beneath Thee hell defeated lies; Thy captive people are set free, And crowns of life restored by Thee. We hymn Thee rising from the grave, From death returning, strong to save; Thine own right hand the tyrant chains, And Paradise for man regains.   The Lamb’s high banquet we await In snow white robes of royal state; And now, the Red Sea’s channel past, To Christ, our Prince, we sing at last. Upon the altar of the cross His body hath redeemed our loss; And tasting of His roseate blood Our life is hid with Him in God. That Paschal eve God’s arm was bared; The devastating angel spared: By strength of hand our hosts went free From Pharaoh’s ruthless tyranny. Now Christ our Paschal Lamb is slain; The Lamb of God that knows no stain; The true oblation offered here, Our own unleavened Bread sincere. O Thou from Whom hell’s monarch flies, O great, O very Sacrifice, Thy captive people are set free, And endless life restored in Thee.   Lord Jesus Christ, we humbly pray That we may feed on Thee today; Beneath these forms of bread and wine Enrich us with Thy grace divine. The chastened peace of sin forgiv’n, The filial joy of heirs of Heav’n, Grant as we share this wondrous food Thy body broken and Thy blood. Our trembling hearts cleave to Thy Word; All Thou hast said Thou dost afford, All that Thou art we here receive, And all we are to Thee we give. One bread, one cup, one body, we United by our life in Thee, Thy love proclaim till Thou shalt come To bring Thy scattered loved ones home.
