Context6:3 The porch in front of the main hall of the temple was 30 feet 1 long, corresponding to the width of the temple. It was 15 feet 2 wide, extending out from the front of the temple.

Context6:2 The temple King Solomon built for the Lord was 90 feet 3 long, 30 feet 4 wide, and 45 feet 5 high.

Context3:4 The king went to Gibeon to offer sacrifices, for it had the most prominent of the high places. 6 Solomon would offer up 7 a thousand burnt sacrifices on the altar there.

[6:2] 3 tn Heb “sixty cubits.” A cubit was a unit of measure roughly equivalent to 18 inches or 45 cm. Measurements in vv. 2-10 have been converted to feet in the translation for clarity.

[3:4] 6 tn Heb “for it was the great high place.”
[3:4] 7 tn The verb form is an imperfect, which is probably used here in a customary sense to indicate continued or repeated action in past time. See GKC 314 §107.b.
