[1Ki 8:30] Holy Spirit, Hear Us
Holy Spirit! hear us; help us while we sing;
Breathe into the music of the praise we bring.
Holy Spirit! prompt us when we kneel to pray;
Nearer come and teach us what we ought to say. Holy Spirit! shine Thou on the Book we read;
Gild its holy pages with the light we need.
Holy Spirit! give us each a lowly mind;
Make us more like Jesus, gentle, pure and kind. Holy Spirit! brighten little deeds of toil;
And our playful pastimes let no folly spoil.
Holy Spirit! keep us safe from sins which lie
Hidden by some pleasure from our youthful eye. Holy Spirit! help us daily by Thy might,
What is wrong to conquer and to choose the right.

With the window open wide,
And the foe so near,
Daniel bows before his God,
Without doubt or fear. Refrain Brave Daniel! brave Daniel!
Ever good and true;
If, like him, to God we’re faithful,
He’ll bring us safely through. Hark! the voice of prayer and praise,
Full of joy and peace;
King’s decree and lion’s den
Cannot make it cease! Refrain In the lion’s den, behold,
Daniel sweetly sleeps;
While the guardian angel there,
Holy vigil keeps. Refrain God is watching o’er His own,

[Dan 6:10] Do You See The Hebrew Captive Kneeling?
Do you see the Hebrew captive kneeling,
At morning, noon and night, to pray?
In his chamber he remembers Zion,
Though in exile far away. Refrain Are your windows open toward Jerusalem,
Though as captives here, a “little while” we stay?
For the coming of the King in His glory
Are you watching day by day? Refrain Do not fear to tread the fiery furnace,
Nor shrink the lion’s den to share;
For the God of Daniel will deliver,
