David Goes to Adullam and Mizpah

22:1 So David left there and escaped to the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and the rest of his father’s family ¹  learned about it, they went down there to him.

Isaiah 10:3

10:3 What will you do on judgment day, ² 

when destruction arrives from a distant place?

To whom will you run for help?

Where will you leave your wealth?

[22:1]  ¹ tn Heb “house.”

[10:3]  ² tn Heb “the day of visitation” (so KJV, ASV), that is, the day when God arrives to execute justice on the oppressors.
