1 Samuel 4:13-14

4:13 When he arrived in Shiloh, Eli was sitting in his chair watching by the side of ¹  the road, for he was very worried ²  about the ark of God. As the man entered the city to give his report, ³  the whole city cried out.

4:14 When Eli heard the outcry, ⁴  he said, “What is this commotion?” ⁵  The man quickly came and told Eli.

Isaiah 22:4

22:4 So I say:

“Don’t look at me! ⁸

Isaiah 37:1-3

37:1 When King Hezekiah heard this, ¹²  he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and went to the Lord’s temple. 37:2 Eliakim the palace supervisor, Shebna the scribe, and the leading priests, ¹³  clothed in sackcloth, sent this message to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz: 37:3 “This is what Hezekiah says: ¹⁴  ‘This is a day of distress, insults, ¹⁵  and humiliation, ¹⁶  as when a baby is ready to leave the birth canal, but the mother lacks the strength to push it through. ¹⁷
