1:3 Solomon and the entire assembly went to the worship center ¹  in Gibeon, for the tent where they met God ²  was located there, which Moses the Lord’s servant had made in the wilderness.

The Lord Gives Solomon Wisdom

1:1 Solomon son of David solidified his royal authority, ³  for ⁴  the Lord his God was with him and magnified him greatly.

2 Chronicles 8:4

8:4 He built up Tadmor in the wilderness and all the storage cities he had built in Hamath.

2 Chronicles 8:6

8:6 and built up Baalath, all the storage cities that belonged to him, ⁵  and all the cities where chariots and horses were kept. ⁶  He built whatever he wanted in Jerusalem, ⁷  Lebanon, and throughout his entire kingdom. ⁸

[8:6]  ⁵ tn Heb “Solomon.” The recurrence of the proper name is unexpected in terms of contemporary English style, so the pronoun has been used in the translation instead.
