2 Chronicles 6:33

6:33 Then listen from your heavenly dwelling place and answer all the prayers of the foreigners. ¹  Then all the nations of the earth will acknowledge your reputation, ²  obey ³  you like your people Israel do, and recognize that this temple I built belongs to you. ⁴ 

Isaiah 56:7

56:7 I will bring them to my holy mountain;

I will make them happy in the temple where people pray to me. ⁵

21:13 And he said to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ ⁷  but you are turning it into a den ⁸  of robbers!” ⁹

Cleansing the Temple

19:45 Then ¹⁴  Jesus ¹⁵  entered the temple courts ¹⁶  and began to drive out those who were selling things there, ¹⁷  19:46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be a house of prayer,’ ¹⁸  but you have turned it into a den ¹⁹  of robbers!” ²⁰
