2 Chronicles 9:6

9:6 I did not believe these things until I came and saw them with my own eyes. Indeed, I didn’t hear even half the story! ⁴  Your wisdom surpasses what was reported to me.

2 Chronicles 34:27

34:27 ‘You displayed a sensitive spirit ⁵  and humbled yourself before God when you heard his words concerning this place and its residents. You humbled yourself before me, tore your clothes and wept before me, and I have heard you,’ says the Lord.

[9:5]  ¹ tn Heb “about your words [or perhaps, “deeds”] and your wisdom.”

[7:12]  ² tn Heb “I have heard.”

[7:12]  ³ tn Heb “temple of sacrifice.” This means the Lord designated the temple as the place for making sacrifices, and this has been clarified in the translation.

[9:6]  ³ tn Heb “the half was not told to me.”

[34:27]  ⁴ tn Heb “Because your heart was tender.”
