2:9 For this reason also I wrote you: ¹  to test you to see ²  if you are obedient in everything.

2 Corinthians 7:15

7:15 And his affection for you is much greater ³  when he remembers the obedience of you all, how you welcomed him with fear and trembling.

[2:9]  ² tn Grk “to know the proof of you,” that is, to know if the Corinthians’ obedience to Paul as an apostle was genuine (L&N 72.7).
