11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.

Hebrews 11:25-27

11:25 choosing rather to be ill-treated with the people of God than to enjoy sin’s fleeting pleasure. 11:26 He regarded abuse suffered for Christ ³  to be greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for his eyes were fixed on ⁴  the reward. 11:27 By faith he left Egypt without fearing the king’s anger, for he persevered as though he could see the one who is invisible.

Hebrews 12:2-3

12:2 keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God. ⁵  12:3 Think of him who endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up.
