• Siapakah Yang Menerima [KJ.124]

  1. Siapakah yang menerima kabar mulia sorgawi? Bukan para ahli Kitab, bukan pula para nabi, Bukan raja Yerusalem, bukan kaisar dari Roma: Hanyalah gembala di Betlehem.	Mat 2:3-4 , Luk 1:1-20
  2. Apakah berita baru yang disiarkan malaikat? Bukan kabar peperangan, bukan pengumuman iklan, Bukan mengenai wabah, bukanlah bencana alam: Raja damai lahir di Betlehem.	Yes 9:5
  3. Dan di manakah tempatnya Anak Raja dilahirkan? Bukan di rumah sakit, diawasi bidan ahli, Bukanlah tempat yang mewah, rumah orang pangkat tinggi, Tapi kandang domba di betlehem.
  4. Lalu, siapakah di sana menunggui Bayi Yesus? Bapak Yusuf, 'bu Maria yang merawat dan menjaga, Biri-biri ikut juga dan gembala sederhana. Bayi tidur aman di Betlehem.

• [Luk 12:37] How Are Thy Servants Blest, O Lord!

  How are Thy servants blest, O Lord! How sure is their defense! Eternal wisdom is their guide, Their help Omnipotence. In foreign realms, and lands remote, Supported by Thy care, Through burning climes they pass unhurt, And breathe in tainted air. When by the dreadful tempest borne High on the broken wave, They know Thou art not slow to her, Nor impotent to save. The storm is laid, the winds retire, Obedient to Thy will, The sea, that roars at Thy command, At Thy command is still. From all our griefs and fears, O Lord, Thy mercy sets us free; While in the confidence of prayer Our hearts take hold on Thee.   Ye servants of the Lord, Each in his office wait, Observant of His heavenly Word, And watchful at His gate. Let all your lamps be bright, And trim the golden flame, Gird up your loins, as in His sight, For awful is His Name. Watch: ’tis your Lord’s command, And while we speak He’s near; Mark the first signal of His hand, And ready all appear. O happy servant he, In such a posture found! He shall His Lord with rapture see, And be with honor crowned. Christ shall the banquet spread With His own royal hand, And raise that faithful servant’s head Amid the angelic band.

  Let thine example, holy John, remind us, Ere we can meetly sing thy deeds of wonder, Hearts must be chastened, and the bonds that bind us Broken asunder! Lo! a swift angel, from the skies descending, Tells to thy father what shall be thy naming; All thy life’s greatness to its bitter ending Duly proclaiming. But when he doubted what the angel told him Came to him dumbness to confirm the story; At thine appearing, healed again behold him, Chanting thy glory! Oh! what a splendor and a revelation Came to each mother, at thy joyful leaping, Greeting thy Monarch, King of every nation, In the womb sleeping. Angels in orders everlasting praise Thee, God, in Thy triune majesty tremendous, Hark to the prayers we, penitents, upraise Thee: Save and defend us.
