[2:42]  1 sn Fellowship refers here to close association involving mutual involvement and relationships.

[2:42]  2 tn Grk “prayers.” This word was translated as a collective singular in keeping with English style.

[4:6]  3 sn The high priest’s family. This family controlled the high priesthood as far back as a.d. 6. Annas, Caiaphas, and Alexander were all high priests at one time (though Alexander held that office after this event).

[17:12]  5 tn Grk “not a few”; this use of negation could be misleading to the modern English reader, however, and so has been translated as “quite a few” (which is the actual meaning of the expression).

[17:12]  6 tn Or “respected.”
